This is a draw I made back near the end of February but was worked on near the start of March, as part of the #MyPastIsNotToday2025 Art Collab that was hosted by @KabloZNoreyino as a way to celebrate the 10th anniversary of that song and that music video. Why did I take part in it? It was for two simple reasons. The first reason is because I thought it would be fun to work on another collab drawing and this one was one that I thought would be fun to do, alongside other artists who were taking part. The second reason, was that it gave me a chance to draw Sunset Shimmer again, but play with her and this idea like the most recent drawings and pieces I have worked on these past few years. Yes, I may not draw MLP and Equestria Girls stuff as much as I used to, but if I ever do feel like drawing that type of stuff again, then I will, alongside everything else that I draw. This is and was no exception. This is why I did this and what made me decide to take part in this collab alongside so many other artists. Plus, with this one, I already knew the perfect idea for it, visually and in terms of colours too. There was an image/drawing on Pinterest that got my attention a good while ago and once I saw it, I knew I could use it for something with art and some characters that I draw a lot or any of my OCs. This one, was perfect for Sunset, because of her fire imagery/motif. Plus, the colours of the original image suited this and her a lot. Also, I wanted to try and draw her not only in my new and updated art style, but visually colour and shade her with the colours from a different base/drawing on Pinterest that I also liked and stumbled upon a good while ago last year. However, I made sure with this that Sunset was visible and easy to see, but still make her work with all the colours and with the background. As for her hair, I tried my best to still make it look like Sunset's hair in certain sections, so that you can tell it is her. The waving parts of her hair were my idea to change it up a bit and make it look like the way I draw flowing hair. I decided to put her in the outfit she more in the music video and onwards to tie back into the music video and also to make sure she didn't look naked, like the girl in the original drawing/image this is based off of in terms of poses. I made this between those months and way before the deadline date, which was April 1st, because I had other stuff to work on at the time and I knew that if I made more than one, it would clash with everything else I had to work on or did need to work on at the time. So that's why I only made this one and kept it safe and sound until this month. I am uploading it today because I was busy with drawings and an animatic that I am still working on and that isn't finished yet. This was really tricky and difficult in certain sections of this, mostly with some of the design and the lighting and shading. However, I had a ton of fun making this and I am beyond happy with how this turned out.

We may go through many trials and tribulations when it comes to life and for Sunset Shimmer, this is no exception. However, because that all washed away like the tide and by the help of her friends and Twilight, her inner glow and her inner warmth within her heart can now truly shine, like everyone.

I am not dating any of the people who took part, nor am I dating KabloZNoreyino. We have no feelings towards one another and I have no attraction for everyone. We literally never met before and don't know each other outside of this site. I am not dating, nor am I ready to date yet. This was just a get together of artist from around the world and bringing to life a fun and interesting project over something we all enjoy or that we grew up with. That's it and that's all. Nothing else. So please don't assume I am dating just because I am taking part in a collab. I am not. My dating and love life is up to me and only me to decide and control and is mostly tying into my private life. It has nothing to do with my art or DeviantArt. Also, I will make MLP and Equestria Girl's artwork, but only when I want to and when I feel like it, because I still like to draw a variety of things and characters. I don't want to be associated with one thing, much like Sonic.
