Impression, Celestia
Hey again to all my brony watchers and everyone who watches my MLP work regardless. I know that you've already seen a lot of my work before, but this one is probably one that I'm a tad bit conflicted over.

You see, when I created Luna's Starry Night [\[link\]](https://seraphim-scion.deviantart.com/art/Luna-s-Starry-Night-356815584) I was driven by personal comparisons between the subtle meanings behind Starry Night, Van Gogh's personal life, and Luna's nature to the MLP:FiM fandom. I took all of these into consideration and even constantly listened to fan-made songs about the princess when making it.

I felt proud of what I did with that piece, but I can't say the same thing for Celestia. In this I was trying to tie together "Celestia, the bringer of Light" with "Monet, the painter of Light" which fits in my mind as I can now understand how topics so positive and optimistic can still be so avant gard in contemporary society; in other words, Society's initial view of Monet during his contemporary life, compared to The Brony Fandom in our lives.
If you're head hurts a little, I do apologize.

All that aside, I do feel like my picture is severely lacking. That's why I waited over a month to upload it because I wanted a premium membership to activate critiques. Anyone who is still reading, I humbly ask for your honestly brutal critique on this. Is it perfect? Should I give this piece another shot? Am I doing something harmful by comparing a fictional cartoon character princess to one of the most prolific modern artists ever known? Did I even capture the magic that Monet expressed every time he touched paint to a canvas?
