So for those who haven't guessed (or seen the original) this piece takes place in the same setting as this prior commission about Cadance enjoying a nice vacation living out some niche fantasies in a pocket plane/dimension where she has absolute control over everything, down to the laws of physics and basics of anatomy and biology. And to start off with, she's enjoying being a more lighthearted and horny Queen of Hearts in her own take on Wonderland. ^ ^
In the previous picture, I mentioned that in Cadance's world the infamous "Off with his head!" line has some different connotations…after all, it wouldn't do to have the harem of stallions she dragged into this murdered in what's supposed to be her fun little vacation. So instead of an execution, it refers to a few types of fun punishment for the sentenced cards. X3
One of the aforementioned connotations involves having the punished card soldier having their ankles locked in the stocks and being mercilessly tickle tortured so they can “Laugh off their Heads” (or “Loose the Heads” in the sense of going crazy) by having their feet painted red with brushes. This form of punishment is referred to in the Hearts Queendom as “Painting the Roseies Red”, named for a particularly well known scene from the original story and the symbolic gesture of having one’s “Rosey little feetsies” painted red, to borrow their alicorn queen’s own terminology. >//w//<
This time, it's FeatherTrap getting it! That poor innocent boi has been framed for a truly vile crime when he was just trying to bring the Tarts and Baked Sweets of the Queen's Bounty to the good, loyal stallions working in the palace. He tried to protest his innocence, but unfortunately for him: Sissies are presumed guilty until proven innocent, even here in Cadance's Wonderland. So even if the true culprits are eventually brought to justice, he's still being punished and will suffer the punishment in full!
After all, it's just what a little Tart Thief deserves… ;)
