Andrew "Andy" Graves is one of the two titular main protagonists of The Coffin of Andy and Leyley. He shares this role with his sister,

Andrew Graves is a thin, pale-skinned young man with dim green eyes. occasionally he can be seen with eyebags under his black messy hair.

As for his clothing, Andrew wears a slightly oversized black sweater with its label sticking out, ripped jeans and grey trainers with black laces. Sometimes he's seen wearing grey socks.

He shows a vast array of expressions, most of which are apathetic, disinterested, and occasionally irate or content.

Andy
As a kid he shows several similarities with present Andrew, however there is a greater contrast between his expressions, in addition to his messy hair being slightly shorter.

He was often seen wearing a slightly oversized violet, short-sleeved sweater and dark trousers.

In-Game Sprite
His in-game sprite is, like the other characters, a stoical grayscale pixel-art version of him. Noticeably, Andy's bangs are more pronounced than Andrew's.

Personality
In the game, his attitude is often sardonic and cynical, often replying sarcastically or in an exasperated manner. He finds his sister frustrating to converse with and being forced to stay in the apartment with her only makes this resentment grow. Despite this, Andrew can be seen engaging in malicious collusion with her and they both collaborate to murder and take advantage of the various secondary characters to escape and survive.

Background
Andrew is the only son of Douglas Graves and Renee Graves. He was born two years before his sister Ashley and their mother tasked him with Ashley's care. Due to her mother negligence and his father absenteeism from constantly being at work, Andrew became the emotional punching bag of her mother and sister aswell as the primary caretaker of Ashley, thus leading to a co-dependent and toxic relationship between Ashley and Andrew

As a child Andrew was the smartest out of the two and behaved well. At one point, his grandfather even stated he could become a lawyer if he kept being a "good boy". He seemed to mostly keep to himself at school and had a small group of friends (friend A and friend B) who he sat with in the school cafeteria at break and lunch.

Episode 1: The Coffin
Andrew and his sister are forced to stay in their apartment because allegedly the water was contaminated with parasites. Notably, their parents aren't forced into lockdown with them since neither Douglas nor Renne drank any of the water. The guards eventually stop giving them any food and the siblings are told lies about there being a supply shortage. During this time, their neighbour dies after they accidently sold their soul to a demon during a botched summoning. Since the siblings are so desperate for food, Ashley pressures Andrew into helping her cut the guy up and cannibalise him in a stew Ashley prepares. After a few days, one of the guards notice that their neighbour is dead and Andrew is forced to kill the warden (Malcom) using a cleaver to protect Ashley from being killed.

Andrew and his sister now plan to escape their apartment complex once and for all. During their escape attempt however, Andrew ends up killing a lady living in the floor below them and another guard inside the apartment gets sacrificed to a demonic entity. The entity then gifts Ashley a trinket that will allow her to have clairvoyant dreams. The siblings then both escape the apartment complex by sliding down the side of the building using a rug stapled to the window and disappear into the city as criminals running from the law with a now uncertain future ahead of them.

Episode 2: Graves
Andrew's disposition changes by the end of Episode 2, depending on a pair of choices. The first condition is whether or not Andrew spends all of the ammo in Ashley's stolen gun. The second condition is whether or not Ashley trusts Andrew in keeping watch over their parents.

This change in Andrew's disposition also impacts the episode's ending and how the two siblings interact. Their interactions can range from being hostile and terse to affectionate and teasing, and can also reflect on Ashley's sense of safety around Andrew.

Burial
In this route, Andrew has a change in disposition: he no longer tries to shift blame of his crimes and accepts them instead. He also suggests that his night terrors lessen and he does not experience insomnia as frequently. The Burial route further splits into
two: the Questionable route and the Sane route, depending on Ashley's choices in her next vision.

Questionable Route
This route prominently features a prophetic vision with Andrew and Ashley post-coitus. Andrew is embarrassed and flustered upon waking up with Ashley acting unserious and stating that "we've done worse things together", but the two seem to grow closer together and no longer fight. This route suggests that their relationship can become sexual, if not romantic, in addition to their familial ties. Whatever they decide to act on however, they do, in fact, have incestous feelings for each other on some level.

Sane Path
In this path, the siblings do not get a prophetic vision of them post-coitus. According to Andrew, he did not have any vision whatsoever, but couldn't sleep either. Yet although Andrew seems annoyed by her, he still shows great care for her and is light with how he teases or insults her. This could be a sign of their relationship becoming healthier in the future.

Decay
In this route, Ashley's next vision is interrupted by the presence of an aggressive and hostile Andrew. Although Ashley attempts to escape, Andrew is still able to catch up to her in her vision and holds his cleaver to her neck. The route further splits into two, technically three, outcomes: An Andrew route and an Ashley route. An outcome where Andrew kills Ashley, however, is determined by whether or not he spent all of the gun's ammo on the hitman at the start of Episode 2.

Andrew route
If Andrew spent all of the ammo, Ashley is unable to defend herself and Andrew slits her throat. After waking up, a terrified Ashley tries to check up on Andrew and mend their relationship. This does not work and Andrew becomes distant, even hostile and rude, to Ashley. After they discard their parents' remains, Andrew continues to treat Ashley terribly. Meanwhile, Ashley considers whether or not their relationship is still fine.

Otherwise, Ashley can choose to shoot him or let him kill her. The latter sees Ashley teasing Andrew before he can kill her. He whispers, "Then I'll see you in a bit," and slits her throat. The rest of events are the same as when Andrew kills Ashley before she can defend herself.

Ashley route
If Andrew has not spent all of the ammo, Ashley can choose to shoot him or let him kill her. The former sees her threatening Andrew with the gun before she shoots. Ashley goes on to shoot at Andrew's corpse multiple times, crying as she does so. The rest of events are the same as when Andrew kills Ashley whether ammo remains or not.
