Candy: sitting in the middle of the room, her back to the door and her mane flat against her back and shoulders, her body hiccuping slightly with hushed sobs

Parry: ! ears lower, slowly stepping in .Candy?

Candy: !!! jumps, turning to face him, her now reddened eyes wide P-Parry! Wh-…What are you doing here? wipes an eye, sniffling Shouldn't you b-be at Del's Engagement Party? forces a smile

Parry: We both should be, actually. walks closer, sitting next to her But not like this. What's wrong? tilts head, his features showing concern

Candy: Hm? N-Nothing's wrong! M-My allergies are just acting up, ehehehe!

Parry: frowns, his eyebrow raising Right, and my mane is green. Candy….does this have something to do with Del and Creme?

Candy: smile fades, looking down at her hooves .Maybe..

Parry: Are you unhappy that they're now engaged?

Candy: N-No! I'm ecstatic for them both! This is such a happy occasion for them…th-they really do deserve each other…

Parry: beginning to understand, his hoof sliding over to hers to comfort her It's okay to feel heartbroken, Candy…

Candy: But….I should be happy for my friends..! tears well up once more These…tears and feelings are just me being selfish!! I should be happy for them, not angry at them! So…why am I so hurt…? Wh-Why do I feel so empty…? sniffles, her tears falling again

Parry: frowns You feel empty because he's with another mare. That mare not being you….but your heart is conflicted due to wanting to be happy for him.

Candy: sniffs, sighing What do I do…I can't face him looking like this…

Parry: moves his hoof, resting it under her chin and tilting her head up Smile for me?

Candy: H-Huh..?

Parry: smiles Please..?

Candy: sniffs, managing a small smile

Parry: Wider

Candy: widens it

Parry: Wiiiiider~ uses his other hoof to tickle her side

Candy: ! giggles, smiling wider Paaarryyyy stooop!

Parry: There ya go…you look better already~

Candy: smiling still at him

Parry: Ask yourself…are you happy for him?

Candy: Yes..

Parry: Do you care for him?

Candy: More than he might know..

Parry: Are you thankful that he considers you a very close friend?

Candy: .. small nod, feeling her chest untighten Yeah..yeah I am.

Parry: Will you still be there for him if he needs you?

Candy: nods firmly Yes

Parry: smiles You seem to be feeling better~

Candy: I do…it still hurts a teeny bit though..

Parry: nods Your emotions are valid, Candy. But so long as you keep focused on what you have, then the future will grow brighter

Candy: slowly nods Yeah…yeah you're right! smiles, her mane beginning to recurl itself

Parry: chuckles Of course I'm right. I am the great Parry~! strikes a pose

Candy: giggles, nudging him playfully Yeah right..! mane is fully curled again

Parry: grins Let's get that mane brushed up and head down to the party. Mrs. Applejack brought cider and apple fritters!

Candy: Ooooh! Okay! bounces up, her mane already bouncing back into it's original style as she hurried for the stairs Oh! stops, turning Parry..?

Parry: standing Yeah Fairy Floss?

Candy: runs over and hugs him tightly

Parry: !!!! blushes

Candy: pulls away Thanks Parry… smiles genuinely

Parry: shyly smiles back No problem, Fairy..

Candy: Hehe, c'mon, last one there's a rotten cupcake! races away

Parry: Oh thanks for the heads up! smiles, charging after her
