Emerald decides to go looking for some enchantment or easy potion he could give to Hope to show her how much he has learned a about magic.

He goes to the library and scours the easier alchemy or enchantment books. Just from a cursory scanning of enchantments though he can tell that it will be no good. They require a lot of time, preparation, and skill to do.

He instead focuses on an easy potion, and finds one that might fit the bill. It's a "mini-starlight" potion. All it needs is powdered metal, glowing fungus, and honey.

He needs to hit an apothecary for that stuff. but maybe he could keep looking for a different kind of potion.
