Emerald eyes Ruby to see if she is okay to leave alone. Emerald wonders if he should stay, but the pony grabs some of the regular cannonballs and tells Ruby to do the same, and they both exit the room carrying the live ammunition.

Emerald takes this opportunity to sneak away and up to the top deck. There he finds many of the crew armed to the teeth and standing near rails. Emerald can see the galleon they are going to attack slightly off in the distance but approaching fast.

Emerald sees a pony he doesn't recognize standing next to the Captain. This one is wearing a mantle that covers most of her chest, neck, and lower face. On her head she wears a wide brimmed hat that hides her features as well, except for the horn sticking out of the top of it.

It isn't until Emerald spots the cutie mark that he realizes it is Joyride.

Seemingly feeling his gaze, the unicorn turns and stares at the colt.
