Anyway, the colt thanks Gregarious for letting him speak with Pip, and then asks if they can go see the pony who rang the bell. He wants to apologize.

"Ah, you probably mean Dead Eye. Sure, giving him a little break won't hurt anything."

As the two walk up, Emerald asks how Lord Sepulcher even managed to get a demon in a book in the first place.

"Don't ask me. I was never one for diabolism. Never trusted myself to make deals with demons. They can be crafty with the wording, and it can really screw you over. As for how he managed to contact the demon… Well, you have to understand that at the height of his infamy Lord Sepulcher was quite powerful. There were all sorts of infernal creatures trying to join, seduce, possess, or otherwise trying to get a piece of that pie. Pip happened to be one of those, though I don't think she holds any resentment for it."

The pair make it up to the tower, and after Emerald is introduced to Dead Eye the pair actually apologize to the other at the same time, and the zombie pony even gives a little bow.
