"Mothers of Harmony" character bio #3: Fluttershy's mother.

BIO: Posey is a gentle and caring pony with a tremendous passion for gardening. The owner of a flower shop in Cloudsdale, she has a talent for being able to make almost anything grow in the clouds — much to the envy of her fellow flower lovers. (Some even believe that she's able to literally speak to flowers and convince them to grow.) While typically demure and quiet, Posey is known among the Pegasi of Cloudsdale for being incredibly loyal, and the ones to whom she is most loyal are her factory worker husband and precious baby Fluttershy. And when Nightmare Moon appeared to threaten Equestria, Posey set aside her usual timidness to make the land safe again for her daughter to grow up peacefully.

ELEMENT: Loyalty

DESIGN: Conceptually, Posey Shy was inspired heavily by G1 Posey, who Fluttershy was also based on. Design-wise, however, I didn't know what I really wanted her to look like; I didn't want her to just be "G1 Posey redesigned for G4". Thankfully, the episode Flutter Brutter gave me just the framework I was looking for. At this point in time, Posey hasn't started wearing glasses yet, and I gave her a flower in her mane instead of jewelry (because I really like that look on another pony — Lily).
