Astute viewers that have followed the saga of Wheatie may have noticed that in the first pick she had an injured left hindleg, but in the previous pic she was missing her right hindleg. There had been a terrible mixup at the hospital, her records had gotten switched with another pony and x-rays had been reversed. Before anyone had realized the error Wheatgrass was already in the ICU recovering from the amputation of her wrong (or right) hindleg.
The cancerous growth that had lead to the amputation was still in her left, and that too had to go.

She is understandably upset with the situation.. lets see if we can get her more cheerful in the future.
