Sunset: I understand the word master has some unfortunate implications. But Pony Twilight informed me that Equestrian genies were far from being slaves. That didn’t stop her from expressing some disgust at the word Master in the brief time Spike was hers though. There just has never been much of a better term to describe someone who opened the bottle first or whomever the genie chose to accompany most often.
