Description:

I just really wanted to make Toola-Roola using my new Paint.net.I do love her, she's a cutie. <3Based on the G3 Pony, Toola Roola.Born in 1994, her father was a very careless and irresponsible stallion who left her mother, a nursing home worker, while she was still pregnant, leaving Toola to be raised by a single mother in Baltimare. Despite her mother often having to work late and leave Toola home alone, her childhood was filled with a lot of love and support, and she would often preoccupy herself by spending time at the beach near their apartment. Toola's favorite time of day was the sunset, watching it from the beach and reflecting on how much the beauty and majesty related to her own life: Here was this celestial orb, big and beautiful, taking care of the whole Earth all by itself. Who represented the sun? Why her god Princess Celestia of course, the big beautiful princess who took care of the whole of Equestria all by herself, like a mother — like her own mother, taking care of Toola all by herself! Sun, princess, mother, all these things were connected, and upon realizing this Toola was resolved to do her best to honor all three and their mutual meaning the best that she could. She had to be a pious follower, the kind pony her mother wanted, and to live the life granted by the sun to the fullest, be bright in imitation of it!Her first step to this was using her cheap, kid-friendly water colors to paint a picture of the sunset for her mommy, who was never home in time to watch it with her, as she did not know how to use a camera at the time. Rejoicing in her mother's love for the gift, Toola earned her cutie mark in painting on the spot, permanently solidifying her life philosophy.Today, Toola is among one of the top celebrated professional artists in Equestria. True to her promise as a child, she is like a firework that never stops exploding: big in presence, bright, loud, colorful, and impossible to ignore. She is perfectly perky and bubbly, but also sassy, fiery, and ambitious. She takes a lot of pride in her accomplishments and can sometimes come across as arrogant as a result, but truthfully, she is every bit as excited and praising of everypony else's accomplishments as her own, hating to see when anypony doesn't get what she thinks they deserve. It's very easy for her to take control of a situation and lead the charge toward what she believes is the greater good, and thus is often at the head of artistic community events and projects. Her paintings are famous for being very large, very detailed, and very beautifully overwhelming impressionist displays of fire and fire-related imagery, often dedicated to and inspired by Celestia. As a very religious mare, Toola also has a passionate side project of writing lifestyle guidebooks on properly worshiping and keeping the princesses' teachings in mind in a way that is compatible with modern trends and living — the books have mixed feedback, very popular in more hip, pop cultured circles, while dismissed as "vapid glurge for the zealot" in more academically serious circles, something she is insulted by and seeks to change.Toola is also very superstitious and as a result, tends to be gullible when it comes to claims of the unconventionally supernatural and New Age movements. She believes in ghosts, aliens, healing crystals, just about anything that sounds fascinating or exciting to her, and is thus sometimes easy to take advantage of if you have something to sell. She also has an addiction to sentimentality, and despite being a respected master of the fine arts, enjoys kitsch and collecting things that embody it such as porcelain cats and Thomas Kinkade-esque paintings. Her energetic and enthusiastic nature is a source of distaste for some ponies: Willow Streaks, another painter of similar status and influence as her, finds her to be supremely obnoxious and exhausting to be around, often condemning her rashness, lack of skepticism, and perceived arrogance, claiming it has an overall negative effect on the modern art community. Toola for her part believes that Willow is stuck-up, needlessly pessimistic, and thinks that his introverted nature is a pretentious act to imitate the "tortured artist" stock character/stereotype that promotes a negative image of professional artists. This coupled with the fact that the two possess similarly high levels of anger and willpower often creates a struggle for power over the direction and attitude of the artistic community during events they happen to simultaneously occupy. In her private life, Toola enjoys visiting the nursing home where her mother works and maintains many good relationships with the elderly living there. She genuinely enjoys listening to them talk about their youths, feelings, and families, and resents how often ponies of their age are all but abandoned by their progeny and society in general. She often wonders about her missing father, and her ultimate dream is to make fine art less intimidating a subject and interest for the laity, especially children.
