Whee! This was really fun! I haven't been able to do digital art for awhile and tonight I sat down and just did what I wanted. I haven't forgot about the art challenge, I just needed to let some need for creating something elegant out onto… well, paper, but not paper.

I'm really proud of the dress. My sister is more of the designer, but I decided to design this on my own and it turned out rather well. I went for something simple, but still flowy and elegant, as Lyra seems like a simple mare. I curled her hair slightly and added a gold front piece, but other than that didn't add many embellishments.

This took longer than usual (about two hours and fifteen minutes), and I'm making a speedpaint… the rendering will take a long time.
