So here's the comic I been saying for a little bit now I was when I began totally shifting my style up. This actually was the first comic about 2 months ago where I literally went full steam ahead and actually tried it out. As I told people I am merging mine with my own style mixed with influence of Baron-Engel and very minor checks with atryl periodically for certain things on my Wereluna stuff down the road if I add stuff. So it's like a mix of realism with cartoon stuff I do normally. I noticed from the last comic that this style actually works a lot better in the solid line art but what I learned over time was the line art was still a tick too think and have since made it thinner. :) I personally love this new style cause I can do a lot more poses and stuff I can't do in the pure show style and I been taking the influence to stretch the anatomy out a little different and add slight anthro elements into these now. The crazy thing with this is I literally when full blown into this style first with a Wereluna comic off the EP….and I haven't even still gotten the chance to figure out my new Wereluna design in this style. This is a good start but will make a lot more adjustments this fall when I sit down and really hash it out but this new version is a nice start and looks nicer than my other variations over the years. :) As for the muffin it is well hidden.


I personally think as far as the dialogue goes is one of my favorite comics this year. It's basically me kind of making fun of the people who always give me crap over the years whenever I make a Wereluna pic or something. Actually this is the first comic I ever put my Wereluna concept in since 2011 when I made the original ones when her S1 design before we got the S2 Luna so that was fun. The comic though was a little bit of a struggle for me to make though art wise. Granted it was me trying to age up the CMCs into more teens again but again the Wereluna and the new style overall I was doing a lot of experimenting in this. Actually so far I did find that the style still works well with the normal way I make backgrounds. The weird thing is I actually thing this is one of the rare rare comics where I can actually say all the CMCs turned out fairly well. I have no clue but for whatever reason they have always been so difficult for me to get them right….especially Applebloom and Scootaloo. There's something deceptively simple on their designs that makes it a huge struggle for me at times. I hate making them. Oh and IDK why this happened on this comic but I actually had a hard time making the backgrounds on this. I doubt anyone here will notice but for me this comic was a giving me problems and I think my mind was so worried on how the ponies would look I had a hard time trying to come up with good camp looking backgrounds. It looks find now but working on it at the time 2 months ago was quite a struggle. :|

Ok so I won't bore everyone too much but there ya go on my new style. Again it's gonna look very weird for a little while on these cause I was still experimenting when I did these and it's such an abrupt shift from what I have always made. I probably will go back to the old style here and there but from what I am doing right now I think a good bit of element of my style still will show through no matter what. It's kind of the bodies that are the main differences but everything else is still how I always make stuff like the lineart and hair. So hopefully people are too put off but it is a jolt and will take time to get used to…trust me it did for me but it worked out so good for what I can do now. :) Onward to the next comic.
