The result of the impromptu stream I did tonight! I decided to dabble in the Guardian!AU and redesign Twilight’s suit. As an important figure to Mistral for being Rarity’s protector, the previous suit was…. well, kinda bland, especially when she’s supposed to look unique from the other Guardians like Luna was. So here’s her new design! I really like how she came out; very much the Knight she was meant to be seen as. I added blue accents in her design to kinda compliment Rarity too, especially the diamond shapes on her shoulder armor. :3

With the redesign came a few changes to Twi’s overall posture too; originally I had her hulking and heavy with the tendency to hunch a lot, but I figured as Mistral’s beloved Princess’ protector, she’d be better off with a far more upright poster and leaner suit. Imposing but regal, her design inspired by Luna’s suit. Her wings, when folded, typically come around to rest on her shoulders, and in doing so they kinda look like a cape. Also changed her wings; because she’d be a later model of the Alpha series, the wings were probably redesigned to be better suited for flying. So instead of sporting wings like Luna’s got, she’s got a far more natural-looking wing design to her. Luna had a sword she carries around, so I figured Twi might have a weapon of her own as well aside from her claws. In this case, a staff.

Buuut yeah, that’s all I’ve got for now! Now that I’ve finally figured out how Twi looks in the AU, I’ll move on to Rainbow Dash and Applejack next; might throw Scoots in there too. x3
