”Well, after ya poked holes in the map, we can’t be sure of that, now can we?”
“Are you suggesting that I was reading the map wrong? How else am I supposed to see where we’re going?”
”Well, yer chancellorship, the map was also upside down. Fer all we know we could be going in the wrong direction.”
”I have a newsflash for you, Cookie. The Earth is round. There is no up or down, and there is no wrong direction. We’re just taking the long way!”
“Yer right! It's such a relief to me that yer in charge…”
“Relief? You don't need relief! If anypony needs relief around here, it's me! I'm a chancellor, an elected official! You're just my, uh…”
”Secretary, yer chancellorship.”
”Right. Now onward, to our new land!”
Last but not least in the Hearth’s Warming play, the earth ponies! I chose Confetti and Honeycrisp to play these roles, even though Confetti technically isn’t an earth pony (she can hide her wings well). While Confetti is a lot smarter and more level-headed than Chancellor Puddinghead, she’s just as cheery and outgoing. She’s a good enough actor to play the part well and make up for the qualities she doesn’t have herself. Honeycrisp, like Smart Cookie, is a good voice of reason most of the time and sometimes makes snarky comments when somepony is being dumb, though this doesn’t apply to little kids. And, of course, both Confetti and Honey have a strong work ethic in their own rights, like earth ponies in general. So I’d say these roles fit pretty well!
