So I finished coloring the sketches I drew of the CMC as teenagers, but I've decided to do what I did with the Mane 6 and upload the headcanon sketches first before I edit the original lineart post I have in my gallery. I had a hard time choosing which one would go first, but I ultimately decided that Spike will start us off.

So without further ado, here we go with Spike's headcanon!

*Age Thingy:

The way I see it, Spike will hit his first growth spurt around the age of 15 and will continue to grow until around the age of 25, where he will remain at a certain height before another growth spurt hits in after a few more years of it being dormant. Here he is at the age of 17 or 18, and at this point he's a bit taller than Applejack. He'll eventually grow to be super big, but I'm thinking he might have the ability to shrink himself to this size if he needs to… that idea isn't set in stone though. While I can easily see him with or without, I went ahead and added wings to him just because I wanted to; the wings began to grow in at around 13 and grew to be big enough for sustained flight after the age of 15. I think Twilight would be the one to teach him, actually. x3

Also, this is important to note since some of you mentioned this last time, but in my headcanon Spike IS a part of the CMC, at least to the point to where he does sometimes go on adventures with them and are best buds with them as well. I don't see any reason why he wouldn't be friends with others his age (at least closer to it), and I thought the idea was cute, so… eeyup.

But anyway. What's important in my headcanon about Spike as he grows older is that, unlike the seemingly popular theory, he WILL NOT abandon Ponyville or his friends and family and simply leave forever. I never liked the idea, nor did it ever seem like one that made much sense, given the bond he shares with Twilight and everyone else and all. In my headcanon, Spike's emergence into adulthood only means that he will eventually have to go out and find his own way, however that doesn't mean he'll just up and leave everyone. He'll live with Twilight for a while before eventually moving out, but he will most likely live somewhere close to Ponyville, or move to the Crystal Empire and visit often. Also, at this age he's big and strong enough to better fend for himself, so I can easily see him being allowed to go with the Mane 6 when they go on adventures and such.
