A quick image I did just because I haven't uploaded in a little while. This was actually done a little while back… maybe a week ago? But meh, I decided to go ahead and post it up. :3
A size/appearance comparison of Big Macintosh and Hard Cider, my version of his father (I gave him the nickname "Chief"). I wanted to try and see if I could make it so you could tell these two were father and son, even if some of Big Mac's facial features come from his mother, like his softer eyes and a slightly leaner headshape. His overall body structure isn't as bulky as his father's either, even if Macintosh is pretty big for a stallion.
I also added in young Macintosh (Lil' Mac! ) just to show exactly how big his dad was when he was still around (maybe a couple months before he and his mother passed away in an accident). I'm thinking of having the headcanon that Big Mac, in this skinny phase, was actually one of the smaller colts in his class, which in turn led other colts to pick on him since his dad is large in comparison. That, of course, changed when he had on hell of a puberty. o.o
The two versions of Big Mac you guys have already seen, but I did redraw Hard Cider because the older version of him just… didn't fit what I was looking for in the stallion. I have the headcanon that he is strict, down to earth, straight-forward and blunt, and sometimes doesn't know when to just sit down and relax. Granny Smith absolutely loves her daughter-in-law because her being around him has mellowed out his rather workaholic attitude, and has revealed his more gentle, humorous side that he used to only show around his mother.
And of course, him having foals has shown his more patient side, even if he sometimes is a little demanding. o3o
Hard Cider's cutie mark is a large cider mug with a bitten apple in the center.
