Celestia gave a smile seeing her daughter and walked over to her, not noticing the disappointing look Dawn had. “Dawn how are you this evening?” her attitude was the same with the nobles to her daughter, Dawn frowned a bit and looked at her mother.
“Who’s my father?” she was stern, Celestia’s face turning to a straight nearly worried expression.
“I told you before, you don’t need to know. Knowing your dad doesn’t define who are darling” Her voice was calm, even hinting at a bit of nervousness whenever Dawn brought up the subject. Dawn frowned more and took a step forward.
“I do though mother, I don’t know anything about him and I want to. Maybe I’ll know myself better if I do.” Her mother gave a concerned face and reached out to her daughter, putting a hoof on her shoulder.
“What would be knowing more about him show to yourself, you’re a bright young mare and a princess, you know who you are perfect” Dawn turned her head to the side and groaned,
“I know but. What about my horn?” he pointed to the curved, pinkish, purplish bone. “No one else has this, and the nobles and children call me shadow mare because of it?” Her voice cracked, whilst her eyes began to water. She wanted to be comforted. Celestia cleared her throat.
“I can’t tell you how much I wish they didn’t call you that. But your horn shows how special you are and being an inch different is never ba-“ Dawn cut her off, tears in her eyes as she pushed her mother’s hoof away from her.
“It is bad! It’s bad for me! Maybe knowing who the torturous my father was could explain this for me, I hate not knowing and your avoiding telling me” she looked down for a second, wanting to ignore her own tears. Celestia opened her mouth to say something before Dawn stomped her hoof down hard on the ground, causing a large echo. “Leave me alone” Dawn’s horn flashed before she started walking fastly down the hallway. She needed to know who her dad was.
Celestia stood still, her ears pinned back as she let her daughter storm away. She couldn’t let her daughter know, it could lead her to evil.
Sombra was still alive afterall.

hnf needed to do more on Dawn, I love her design so much personally and she needs far more attention I think. The poor girl just wants to know who her daddy is, she grew up without him of course and was raised by her mother and maids, other members of staff.
