Description:

The seventh primarch I've drawn within this Fallout 40K alternate universe: Morning Glory — The Great Angel!

When she was originally found by the 9th legion, along with the primarchs of the Luna Wolves and Space Wolves, the Great Angel was merely a frightened filly, horribly injured both physically and mentally. When brought and healed by the God Empress she found herself a home in Canterlot for the remainder of the Unification Wars. Chosen as the Primarch of the 9th her unique genetic enhancement was the pure, undiluted DNA of the Empress, this would slowly transform her interior body to match that of her gene-mother, thus becoming one of the strongest of the primarchs and allowing any Space Marine of the 9th to grow ever stronger as they grow older, the oldest of Blood Angels are nearly the size of a Primarch with the resilience to match, once this and her training was completed she was sent off on the Great Crusade. During the Crusade her legion discovered a flaw in their genetic structure, the empowering DNA of the Empress would wreak havoc on the mind, giving the marines a lust for blood and a deranged lust for battle, and was named the Red Thirst by the legion's apothecaries. During the Black Heresy Glory had joined the Empress upon the Arch-Traitor, Blackjack's, flagship, the two warriors fought for hours on end, but the Great Angel wouldn't survive the battle, being stabbed in the heart with Blackjack's claw, before having her neck broken. During her death, an arcane shriek would emanate from her dying body, with nearly every member of the Blood Angels would go irreversibly insane, their bodies mutating and their minds unraveling, believing themselves to be their Primarch, lying on the floor of the Vengeful Spirit… This would combine with their overpowered genetic material to become the Black Rage, a genetic flaw that will slowly cause the marine to go insane, with only those disciplined enough to survive with their sanity intact.
