Hailing from the south, young Torch had no idea what a Dragon Lord was. When he reached the Dragon Lands and saw that there was a battle royale tournament underway, he was eager to join. The current Dragon Lord saw his eagerness to fight and gave him permission to compete as well, since the tournament had started just a few minutes prior and none of the contestants were tired yet.
He didn't need to be told twice. Torch hopped onto the fighting stage and started pummeling the everliving tar out of everyone, smiling from horn to horn. Once he had defeated every contestant, the Dragon Lord congratulated him and handed him the Bloodstone Scepter. Torch thought it was a neat prize. He was then declared "Lord of the dragons".
