Scootaloo hadn't known what to expect when Rainbow invited her to a very specific hill in Ponyville. Lately they hadn't had much time together, due to the latest birth of Rainbow's and Pinkie's son Monochrome Mayhem. For a while, Scootaloo wasn't doing so well. She was working an annoying yet monotonous mechanic job after a rocky break up, and everything seemed dim.

Once she crested the hill, she saw the fire cracking, and the scent of burnt marshmallows.

"Scoots! You're just in time! Fireworks were about to go off." Dash called, waving a hoof over. "Pinkie and I wanted to ask you something. "

Stepping closer, Scootaloo could see Pinkie Pie holding her sleeping newborn colt, and the elder children sitting beside her. Sugar Crash was just blowing out the flame on their marshmallow, giving a giddy smile. Party Popper was busy munching away.

"We wanted to know if you…."

" Wanted to be in our family!" Pinkie cut in, grinning. " Dashie and I have been talking, and…

Rainbow jumped in seamlessly, "I know you might think of me as a sister, and technically you're a full grown mare… but we thought maybe-"

This time, Sugar chimed in, "You could be OUR big sister!"

Just then, an explosion of light and color streaked across the sky. The orange pegasus felt her eyes sting and well up with tears. And she had felt alone?

"I'd love to be your big sister."
