Greetings, ladies and germs. For a long while, i've gotten on quite the inspirational binge on how, and what i'm going to create. One of these things involves adding in a new series for me to work on, which is a Redux of MLP Season 9. By that, I mean the story will be retold with only the episodes that actually contribute to the original story — and the story itself will undergo a few interesting changes as it progresses.
I present to you one such change, now. Far into the season, The Legion of Doom, who my version of Lord Tirek from "The Price of Freedom" among others in my gallery, has been more, or less establishing himself as the true leader, under Grogar's nose. He allows his fellow villains to contribute to their collaboration, and acts like they're all equal in this campaign of theirs — but ever since being summoned to The Lair, Tirek has been pulling strings, and subtly turning the others against Grogar……..all the while, steeping even further into Darkness as he does so. He's Grogar's secret opposition, rallying a mutiny involving a certain weapon belonging to the old goat. But he also came to the conclusion that, despite there being Six (seven if they keep Grogar around after turning on him) of them, it isn't enough. AGainst a united Equestria, even the so-called "Legion of Doom" may not be enough. So plans are soon made to build an army to serve under their cause. Beasts with no will of their own, and a programmed loyalty to their creators.
Of course, said creator happens to be Tirek, himself, who implants spells of imprinting that make these beast recognize HIM as their alpha. Meaning he is their one, and only master. Oh, i also forgot to mention he had additional aid from his two other allies who are part of their 'legion of doom': both The Pony of Shadows, who Tirek dubbed Erebus, and the once again newly revived King Sombra, whom Tirek deceived into working FOR him in exchange for his resurrection. The centaur, and the dark unicorn worked tirelessly in a secret, undergound domain even Grogar himself remained unaware of which became their laboratory similar to Sombra's study. Erebus himself is intended for retrieving living specimens for their experiment — dead, or alive…..though preferably the latter, since fresh samples are always key — and torturing to death via experimentation is entertaining to the sociopaths. A few months before Twilight's coronation, just after Chrysalis, Cozy Glow, and Storm King (who had his Sacanus Staff returned, and given magic-absorbing abilities of its own, though it's prevented from draining magic from his allies) return from their 'road trip' to Canterlot, and nearly ruining the summer sun celebration in the process, true success is made.
Tirek himself grows intrigued after hearing of how easy it was to turn different ponies against each other. He agreed with Chrysalis that it was something to keep in mind, and that their experiment would greatly benefit from this. It's at this point Tirek finally brings the trio down to his, and Sombra's hidden lair to show the fruits of their labor. Once all six villains are gathered, Tirek then devises the perfect plan to end Equestria: first, by doing as the two mares in their team suggest, and turn every last pony in the land against each other. Once the 3 races are again divided by segregation, bigotry and racism, as is their nature, the Legion of Doom will begin their attack on Equestria. And they will do so with their newfound army of monsters, unlike anything the world has seen before. Tirek and Sombra describe it as the culmination of numerous different species, and their essence: the strength, and durability of Dragons, Manticores, Storm King's Yetis, and even Ursa Major (much to the trio's shock), with a potent venom more lethal than anything the scorpion-tailed creatures could ever produce. This also allows them bipedalism, to better aid in combat. They even added in pony essence from the Earthlings, Pegasi, and Unicorns to enhance the beasts physical might, its magical prowess, and its own speed. In addition, Tirek and his three lab-partners even offered a portion of their own essence to fuel, and enhance the creature even further. A beast fueled by Dark Powers, and the instincts of a true predator. With Tirek's essence inside, the creature will sniff out magic like a Great White Shark, and when bidden, will hunt down the owner of that magic until the hunt is done, and their quarry is devoured, or captured. All this culminated magic also gave them other abilities to fear: their ram horns producing magical beams from their foreheads, or even their horn-tips, but strengthened by all the other magical sources placed into it. And thanks to all the magic they hold, the dragon and pegasi essence enhanced, and combined allows them to fly without wings at frightening speeds. And that's not to say how lethal their unnatural strength, combined with their bladed claws, curled horns that can bend at will for better impalement and weaponization, and tusks that can gut and slash with a single swing if one isn't careful. Worse of all, they will be pack animals, who work to overwhelm their prey with sheer numbers. Thus making them night impossible to fight alone.
This great experiment Tirek prides himself on, he named after himself, as these demons of the Darkness are of his own making.
They are simply known as The Tiracians: Steeds of the Darkness.
And once they have been replicated, and cloned to the substantial numbers needed, noone in all of Equestria will be able to stop them.
A new Epoch of Darkness will rise.
Remember those monsters the G1 Tirek created by using the Rainbow of Darkness to corrupt innocent ponies, and physically turn them into demon dragons? Well, that's clearly the inspiration for this atrocity. And I cannot stress how much I enjoyed making this abominable thing. I kinda felt like a mad scientist while I was working on it. I hope that isn't really strange, or anything.
Needless to say, i'm disappointed FIM hasn't, and will not utilize these frightening creatures, or associated them with Tirek, seeing as how HE created them. It's a sad thing, and how one could endure such wasted potential is beyond me. But then, inspiration hit me: not just from "The Dark Crystal" as has been happening frequently — but also from my own Season 9 redux, and what I could do with it. It could give me an excuse to introduce these abominable things in G4 format, and make them soldiers for the Legion of Doom.
Very similar to the insectoid monsters, The Garthim.
With all the attributes and abilities i have this thing, you can very well believe that the Tiracians are the pony equivalent of the Garthim. Seven villains alone might be dangerous enough to challenge Twilight, and her friends…….but even they alone could never hope to dominate all of Equestria, so long as they were united by the cause of friendship. So what better way to ensure conquest is successful than creating an invincible army to conquer the six nations (Pony, Dragon, Yak, Griffon, Changeling, and Hippogriff/Seapony, possibly counting the Qirins, if you want.) Long story short, they will ultimately help bring a far superior finale to this redux of season 9 than what we've actually seen (if you're like me, and looked for the leaks because you're a dirt cheaterXD). I hope you guys enjoy this monstrosity, and that it inspires you to make your own variations. Sayonara!
