"Hailed as one of the best, if not The best, surfer among the Hippogriffs, Wave Catcher loves spending the day at the beach, whether it's surfing, showing off her tricks, or basking in the warm celestial Sun. As a filly, she would spend countless hours flying near the waves, and was taught how to surf by the late Hippogriff King himself, who was also a legendary surfer. When the Storm King invaded Mount Aris, she had to leave the beach life behind and hide underwater, but that alone didn't stop her from thrill-seeking. Wave Catcher would often sneak out and swim among the warm currents along Seaquestria, almost like surfing among the waves. This often got her in trouble with Queen Novo, who was worried that this might suddenly tip off the Storm King if he was watching from the surface. Wave Catcher would have to find other means of entertaining herself, mostly by hanging out with the overenthusiastic Sea Lilly
Once the Storm King was defeated and the Hippogriffs could return to and restore Mount Aris, Wave Catcher went back to her love of surfing, now having created her surfboard. Novo, impressed with Wave Catcher's surfing abilities, decided to give her the opportunity to compete in a surfing tournament, where she came out on top. Despite being a surfing champ, Wave Catcher always plays fair and has good sportsmareship, even if she likes to act a little cocky and show off. When she's not surfing, she like to collect shark teeth, hang out at beach snack bars, or teaching others her surfing techniques. Often she is mostly seen with Sea Lilly, who usually hangs out with her because Skystar is too busy with royal duties.

This was a gift for my good friend Daylit, who wanted to have a FishBirbPone OC ever since I made Sea Lilly. Also, his birthday is coming up, so I count this as an early birthday present!
And on that note, this will probably be my final image of the year, as I am wrapping up finals and won't have access to Photoshop anytime until next semester (assuming I get Photoshop up and running on my computer at home). But either way, I hope you all enjoyed all the art I made this year! It's been quite a roller coaster."
