Normally just a quiet colt who sat in the back, Daze stepped forward and volunteered to help out quite a bit when the CMC began their work to keep Ponyville running. By then he'd been pinned and labeled a total nerd due to his special talent being related to math (more specifically precalculus) but he broke free of that when he turned out to be a very cool dude. Not only did he help write, print, and distribute the newspaper he worked on with Sweetie Belle; but he also proved to be a marvelous voice actor and singer when he began a small radio show that was based out of the Golden Oaks Library called "Dazed and Confused" where he made jokes and commentary while relaying news and playing songs.
He pretty much lived in the Library and ended up becoming great friends with Spike and Sweetie Belle.
