Description:

Primrose stared down at the dress she’d just bought her daughter with deep concern. It was such a beautiful dress, one that perfectly framed her daughter’s figure and complemented her colors. How could she not love it? Why, she’d wanted nothing to do with it ever since they picked it out! Primrose didn’t know why.

“Hun? What’re ya dwelling on that there dress for?” Her husband, Discovery, asked.

“I just don’t understand, mon amour,” Primrose frowned. “I took our little Appletini out shopping and she wanted absolutely nothing to do with any of the dresses we looked at. It was all I could do to convince her to pick this out,” she held up the dress she had been mulling over.

“Was there somethin’ else she wanted?”

“Well yes, she was quite fixated on shopping in the colts’ section instead,” Primrose remarked. “I let her look around to appease her, but I was not going to let her wear something so un-ladylike to the gala. But she was so adamant against picking out a dress, I just don’t know why.“

“Hm,” Discovery pondered, “Well, ya know Tini, she never really liked dressin’ up all pretty. Doesn’t like frilly things or playin’ dress up with her sisters or anything that fillies do.”

“I know! But why?”

“Ah dunno, Ah’ve seen some of my kin act like that and it all usually ends with one thing. Ah think our daughter might be transgender, love.”

“Transgender? Like, she wants to be a colt instead of a filly?”

“Eeyup.“

“Nonsense!” Primrose sniffed. “She can’t be, she’s always been our little filly!”

“Ah thought you supported trans folk?”

“Of course I do, it’s just…our daughter can’t be transgender! We simply didn’t raise her that way! Someone must have…convinced her to think like this!”

“That’s not how it works-“

“I know my own daughter. She’s a filly and always has been; why, it’s on her birth certificate and everything,” Primrose insisted. “We just need to help her get more in touch with her feminine side! Trust me, I have a plan!”

Discovery cringed as his wife began to brighten up with untold ideas that were doomed to fail.

“This ain’t gonna end well…”
