Background: When she was young Harmony saw a cartoon where a character hypnotized another and like all children figured doing so was as easy as swinging a clock back and forth. However unlike most children she managed to succeed spectacular. With her newfound talent she began to use hypnosis on friends and family in order to get what she wanted. When she got older she began to study other kinds of magical arts, both real magic and the kind that involves smoke and mirrors. She began to perform as a stage magician using her hypnosis act as the perfect cover to specially select 'volunteers' from the audience to hypnotize whom she would later use to rob themselves and give to her. As her show made its way to Maretropolis she realized that the super heroes there would prove very valuable if under her control and she set her sights on a particular size changing mare.



Personality: Where MMMare is flirty, Hypnosa is downright sultry. She is beautiful and charismatic but very sly and deceptive as well. She's learned how to make others melt with desire or get them to do things even without using her powers. While she is not distinctly cruel she does tend to view others as mere playthings, toys and tools to be used and discarded as necessary. She is also flamboyant, showy, a braggart and at times a social bully, however she is also craven, shortsighted in terms of goals, and overconfident.



Likes: Singing, jewery, hypnotizing others, being in charge, having others do what she tells them, being the center of attention.

Dislikes: Loud noises, interloping do-gooders, not being in control, being arrested.

Powers: Hypnosis- As one might expect Hypnosa's primary power is a high level of hypnotic power. Whenever hypnotizing someone she swings her gold watch back and forth while singing. There are some theories going around that her hypnotic power is actually derived from her voice, leading some to belive that she is a siren or at least part siren.

Magic- While not a master Hypnosa is very adept at magic, particularly illusions and charms.

Weaknesses: Hypnosa's power or association thereof, comes from her watch, if it is taken from her she either cant or feels she cant hypnotize others. She would still maintain her magic, but not her primary ability. She also happens to be a coward, fleeing when all of her hypnotized goons either fall or she is alone and unable to hypntoise anyone else.

Skills: Hypnosa is a very talented stage magician, knowing all sorts of parlor tricks, slight of hand and methods of fooling the sences even without natural magic. She also has a way with people, able to charm them with merely her personality and appearance.

Gear: The primary piece of gear Hypnosa utilizes is a golden watch which is assumed to be an heirloom of some sort. Its not clear if the watch gives her powers, or if she needs a pocket watch to hypnotise others.



Combat: Hypnosa never fights directly if she could ever help it. Her usual method is to hypnotize a group of innocent bystanders to act as her henchmen, or a power pony if she can manage it. Shell then use either numbers or more powerful hypnotized ponies to do her bidding and fight for her. At the first sign things aren't going her way shell often send all her hypnotized goons to deal with the enemy before fleeing, often using smoke and mirrors in order to escape. If caught all alone without her watch she will likely cower.

Romance: Relationships are a means to an end for Hypnosa, shell use emotions and feelings in order to get what she wants. Having never really developed a relationship based on mutual free will and trust she had a hard time dealing with people she cant control.

Hypnosa was in her dressing room, planning the magic shows of the night. Sure she had some good ones, a few card tricks, some dispersing acts and some hypnotic acts, but that wasn't her masterpiece. No tonight she was going to pull a very clever trick, she was going to make the maretropolis bank of trust disappear! Yes it would come back as it always should, but the real trick was that all the money in the vault was going to be gone the next day. She had to call in a lot of favors and hypnotize a lot of people to make this work, but come tomorrow morning when the vaults would open up again they would be absolutely bewildered as to where all their bits went.



“Oh Hypnosa you clever girl, by the time they catch on to your genius youll be long halfway to Las Pegasas living like a queen.” she said admiring herself in the mirror.
