Born to Silly

Description:

Artist's description:

"Griffons are a prideful species. At a young age, griffons are put into invisible societal ranks due to their genes and species. Many young griffons that have more docile halves rather than predatory halves often find themselves being ostracized and cast aside as weak and helpless once they grow older.

As the history of past griffons show, those who lived and passed on their genes were those who were the strongest and wisest. Breeds of eagle, falcon and owl griffons being some of those who were most prominent. This would only lead for future generations to believe that those were indeed the type of griffons to be the best. Though, as years went on, griffons would evolve, different types of griffon passing on their genes. This would lead to there being many different type of griffons. Parrot griffons, chickadee griffons, and so on.

Though, as history has also shown, it takes more than a day to change stigma. Even in more modern griffon broods there proves to be certain biases that still linger. For example, Gallus, a young orphaned Bluebird griffon, proves to find it very difficult to find a home in a place that has shown distaste for griffons like him. Though, as he would grow, he would learn to prove those griffons wrong. Wishing to make a better life for him and other hatchlings like himself, he would go on to prove that it's not what breed of bird that makes the griffon, it's who you choose to be that makes you a great griffon.

Though, as the Hippogryphs were freed back to Equestria, many hippogriffs take the time to explore the new world they have missed for many years. As these hippogriffs come to meet some these griffon broods, they are met with a new wave of energy that either group haven't seen before. Griffons are met with hippogriffs who are much more energetic and excited than some care to be around. Hippogriffs are met with those who are a lot less willing to interact than their own.

Though, as the two groups began to immigrate into each other, things would slowly come to integrate each others cultures. Griffons, while gruff and tough, would begrudgingly and perhaps secretly enjoy the new lively energy into their lives. Glad that there's an outlet in some creatures that aren't always so judgmental towards feelings and joy. Though, on the other hand, perhaps the Hippogriffs wouldn't mind having friends in other creatures other than just their own species after so long.
