About Callisto:
Callisto grew up with a distant mother. Celestia feared that she would grow apart from her duties as princess and therefore spent most of her time doing her royal duties and ignoring those ponies closest to her. Her fear that she would abandon her country overtook her and caused her to desert her foals.
Callisto spent most of her time mothering the triplets, her younger siblings, and cares for them like a mother would, she loves them each equally.
When Callisto had finally had enough and tore her mother a new one for not being present, Celestia was ashamed of herself and immediatley set out to be more present in her children's lives. It was pretty much too late for her to have a relationship with Callie, but she made a point to be in the triplets lives and Callie didn't mind much.
She likes to goof off a lot, she kinda doesn't want to be royalty and wishes that her younger brother Apollo would be next in line, but sadly, it's her. She wants to sing rock music and dance around and to crazy flying tricks with her friend Atomic Blaze, Rainbow Dash's son.
Callisto met Atomic Blaze when she was much younger, much like Constellation. She never learned to fly well, so she transformed herself (changeling haha) into a regular Pegasus and clumsily flew up to Cloudsdale from the talles tower in the castle. She got there and met Atomic Blaze, the cocky, know-it-all, and she immediatley saw through him and befriended him. He found out who she was pretty soon and they became even closer.
Callisto doesn't have the best relationship with her mom, but she has a really good relationship with her dad. She really loves him and thinks he's super cool, because he hung around a lot more than Celestia did. When Celestia and Thorax get divorced, amicably, it breaks Callisto's heart and Callie ends up blaming herself for a long time afterwards.
