these 2 met in Twilight's School of Friendship when they were enrolled into the same classes by Principal Starlight Glimmer.
they got a letter from the original CMC who were watching them through eyes of scouts that were attending the School of Friendship and saw they had the potential to be the leaders of a new branch in their group.
the 3 were overjoyed and accepted the request!
the next day, Stage's mother, Adagio, gave Stage her infamous red gem pedant to congratulate her daughter, but warned her, to never use the power of the gem for evil, and Stage agreed 100% (as if she'd ever stoop that low)

Moonbeam is the oldest of the twins, by like 3 minutes give or take, but still. She always looks tired, even though mother and father have her on a strict sleep schedule due to schooling. she's always smiling but her sister, Moonrock, suspects her getting signs of depression and tries her hardest to keep her happy at all times. Moonrock is the youngest of the twins, she's super cheerful, always happy, and always around her sister at all times. Moonrock is a cheerleader, leader of the spelling bee (won 5 years in a row), an honor student, and has a beautiful voice. everyone always wants to hang out with Moonrock, but when they hear that she wont hang out without her sister, Moonbeam, they change their minds right away. where Moonrock in the life of the party, Moonbeam is kind of the serious one. Moonbeam is fun in her own special way, but to others she's droll and boring. to Moonrock, Moonbeam is the funnest and loves being with her sister!
