Antoine looks back to her with sorrowful, but firm eyes.
"I keep telling you there is only one way out of this. That being the case, it would be unmerciful for a gentlemen of my stature to let you suffer anymore than you needed to."
Mulberry feels like she is going to cry again, but she bites back her tears and says, "Is there anything I can do to throw off the guards? Distract them for a bit at least, until I can figure this out."
"Not that I can think of off the top of my head. If they know you are out and about then capturing you will be a high priority. You should remember…" He says, shifting his weight at pointing at her. "They aren't ponies. Not anymore. Do not show them any mercy. I believe my pistol is being held in evidence. See if you can find it."
Mulberry's frown deepens, and asks who Begonia is, why they should be killed.
"Begonia was Hardtack's wife, and the last unicorn still alive in the town before it was sealed off. They need her to power whatever spell they are going to cast with the runes from the blacksmith. As long as either of them are still alive they may be able to escape the fog wall." Antoine says. "I say 'may', because I'm not sure if what they are doing will even work. As long as there is a possibility however it can't be ignored."
"Daddy is coming to visit? Yay!" River exclaims suddenly. There is a pause and then she continues. "Oh… Mr. Peacock says you shouldn't of heard that. So… Um… Ignore it please?"
"Quick! Run! Now!" Antoine says, pressing his face up against the grate, his eyes full of concern for the mare.
If Gamble is on his way, she probably only has time for one quick question before she has to run, but where is she even going to go?
