Back Beat is a bit of a strange pony. He's always been known to be the son of Neon Lights, a DJ in Manhatten, and therefore a child prodigy when it comes to lyricism in the Rap music genre, but when it comes down to it… he's not all that good. Those who have seen his supposed skill in the genre just end up perplexed as to why. Though, those who have seen him sing are nothing less than baffled by his true prowess on the mic. It's something that always seems to catch ponies, especially his classmates, off guard.



And here's a two for one! A character Study and Style study! I've loved the progression of Back Beat's story. At least the one i've thought out so far and honestly I will admit it needs a bit of work in the future, but so does every story if you think about it.

I've also wanted to go into different style studies. I like the style that I have, but I think it needs a bit of improvement. so here's a bit of that progression I've hoped for! along with a bit of a hue challenge with the more warm spectrum I've always loved the more sketchy and soft look to artistry so I'm going to shoot for more of that in the future!
