Well, other than the food the chef had at the Inn.
Mulberry then climbs back up to the attic, carves in the written runes, gives herself a small moment to steel her courage, and touches the spear to the spell.
——
Mulberry snaps awake suddenly with a gasp, looking around in confusion.
She's in the forest, rather high up the ground. She struggles slightly, and realizes she is hanging from a tree branch, still clutching the spear in her hooves.
The mare rubs her temples in pain, she is slightly dizzy, and does her best to shimmy down the foliage and onto the forest floor without hurting herself. She hadn't realized it at first, but Mulberry finds herself rather tired, her muscles ache, and she is hungry. The mare takes out some of the food she stashed away and consumes a bit of it while she thinks.
The mare isn't sure where she is, but looking up she can still see the fog barrier. Wherever this is, it's still in Mournthread. Mulberry also frowns when she notices it's rapidly approaching dusk.
