Mulberry cautiously approaches one of the trees. Perhaps the birds are just monsters in disguise. However the only thing they do as she gets close is look back at her warily and perhaps flutter their wings in nervousness. The mare takes the opportunity to inspect the flora nearby, but she doesn't know too much about gardening. From her position she also looks over at the statue. From a distance, it doesn't appear to be anything other than a slightly rusted statue of some birdcages. Knowing what she does of this village, she can't be 100% sure.

Mulberry starts to walk forward, and then realizes that if this is the only entrance, she can guard it against anyone coming in with some runes. Two spells come to mind. She knows the one in the apartment is "Need-Big-Person-Big-Protection". "Need-Big-Death-Big-Person-Big-Protection" is the second spell the mare thinks of, and is from in front of Mr. Peacock's door. Both of these enchantments have quite a few "Big" runes within them.
