Pinkie Pie and Princess Skystar felt an instant connection during the siege of the Storm King, even though romance was hardly on the agenda. After Mount Aris was restored, Skystar was sure to visit her pink friend as much as possible, using the excuse that after being hidden so long, she wished to see more of Equestria. Queen Novo saw right through her words, and while hesitant to allow her daughter to travel alone, still allowed it. After all, Sky was old enough to make her own choices. Pinkie welcomed Sky to Ponyville with extreme enthusiasm whenever she visited, going into baking frenzies to make up for all the time that the hippogriff had spend underwater. The two barely had to speak of their feelings to each other, it seemed so obvious and so natural to the two of them. But when it came to marriage, Pinkie tended to be more traditional. Even after excitedly discussing it with Skystar, Pinkie Pie traveled to Mount Aris to ask for Queen Novo's blessing. Novo had long since known that her daughter would never marry for political advantage and gladly showered her affection on the couple, the two marrying in Mount Aris at one of the biggest celebrations Equestria and Seaquestria had ever seen. There were balloons, confetti, streamers, enough sweet treats to satisfy an entire army, plenty of handmade seashell decorations by Skystar, and a few well-placed pranks. The party lasted for days, turning into more of a festival than a wedding, but nobody could deny that they expected any less from the happy couple. Shortly after their marriage celebration, Skystar stepped down as next in line for the Hippogriff throne, allowing her cousin Silverstream to be the next ruler.
Pinkie and Sky were quick to start planning for a family, since they had been ecstatically thinking of children long before they were married. In their preparations, they moved out of the Sugarcube Corner's second floor and found a home of their own, just a block away from the bakery. It took them far longer than expected to conceive a child of their own due to multiple complications, but they showered their little Zapple Pie with all the love they had. But they still wanted a larger family and decided to try and adopt. When Zap was still a young filly, they found Berry Dairy Pie (who at the time was named Strawberry) who was a scrawny, big-eared Beefalo calf who could barely walk. Skystar and Pinkie Pie were able to foster her until the adoption papers went through a year later. Berry's adoption led to another larger-than-life celebration in Ponyville, where everyone in town had a chance to meet the newest member of their family. And without much surprise, it was only a couple of years before Sky and Pinkie wanted to welcome another child into their home, this time a batpony foal named Pillow Tuck who could barely stay awake while other younger colts and fillies played around him. Because of his need for special care, he was older than most of the foster kids around him and less likely to be adopted, but the couple felt pulled to Tuck and fostered him to make sure they could provide him with everything he needed. It was an interesting change for the constantly hyped and sugar-filled family, but they embraced Sleepyhead in all his struggles and differences. He was adopted not long after, the foster system more than happy to expedite the adoption since it seemed unlikely he could find another family quite like theirs. And even though it was fairly costly, Pinkie and Sky had their house renovated to fit their children's needs and interests. Zapple Pie has a bedroom on the second floor that has a personal icebox to keep her midnight snacks chilled and a small work area for her to plan out her pranks with Hullabaloo. Berry Dairy, being unable to climb down the stairs, has a first floor room with food and water troughs (since it can be difficult for her to eat elsewhere, especially since she prefers not to destroy the kitchen on the way to grab a snack) and a low to the ground "floor bed" (which resembles a Japanese futon). Sleepyhead has the most tricked out room, which has black-out curtains, star and moon themed string lights, a small hoard of pillows on a large bed, weighted blankets, and even a sturdy perch for when he wants to sleep upside-down. ~ I definitely redesigned Pinkie Pie AGAIN
