I didn't like her old design so I made a new one that felt more fitting :>

Personality: Shy, books are her escape, intelligent, problem solver, great delegate, good listener, very graceful but slow, super self conscious of her looks (Mostly her muzzle and dull coat), feels like a huge failure to her mother for not being able to perform magic, can't get attached to ponies easily, never talks about herself and how she feels, loves puzzles, is always looking for something to be off, when someone insults her shes just like "yeah I agree" and it totally makes things awkward, naturally awkward in demeanor, would rather not be a princess and be left alone with her old texts (sound familiar?)

-She and her mom have a rough relationship. On one hoof, they both share a love of knowledge and old books but on the other hoof, Athena feels vastly inferior to her mom and is ashamed to be around her. Athena's lack of magical ability hinders her from being close with her mom

-She struggles with friendship, much to the dismay of her parents. However, Twilight isn't bothered by the fact that ponies doubt her ability as princess of friendship because of it. She knows her Theeny will find friendship one day, just like she did.
-She does have some friends, Lemon, Ivy, and Cherry, but she still doesn't share much about herself with them which makes the relationships kinda one sided
