Moonlight Raven was one of Rarity's customers at her Canterlot Boutique. This tenebrous-maned Unicorn beauty eventually found the dress of her dreams — Over the Moon, the Princess Luna inspired gown that reflects her gloominess. When Rarity was hosting her Couture du Future fashion contest at the Carousel Boutique, she invited three fashion contestants: Lily Lace, Starstreak, and Inky Rose. For the contest, Lily Lace presented designs inspired by bird songs, Starstreak looked to more cutting-edge and "futuristic" designs, and Inky Rose's designs incorporated mostly black and dark colors. Inky's fashion sense might be a little dreary, but it's the coolest for some ponies, especially the Goths. Even Funnel Web harnessed the darkness during the contest as Inky's contest. If her jacket, hoodie, and dark denim were chillingly cool enough, then her bat clips are pretty sweet. Even Rarity's Manehattan branch boutique, Rarity for You, got goth ponies visiting. Besides Moonlight Raven, there was Snow Hope. Even Fluttershy, with her Goth persona, could tell that jet black is the only color that truly encapsulates his tormented soul. At least his hooves aren't replaced with scissor blades, though he might make a really good ice sculptor. These four might be all about darkness, black, spooky animals, Gothic literature, black roses, and feeling down, but they're pretty awesome. And for some, they're really lovely.
Goth Ponies by me
Goth Fluttershy was not included because she was a persona, and Goth Celestia was not included because she was asked to wear the design by Luna, reluctantly. I was also thinking about including animals that represent the Gothic quartet, but I think I'll reserve that for another time.
