There are some characters in the show that I just LOVE. Sometimes so much that they are included in my AU, and sometimes they are necessary (such as Celestia and Luna) so they deserve to be drawn too, okay? <w<
I admire them a lot, but when I draw them, I change them up a bit They were too "simple" for me so I gave them an upgrade (though, lets face it, they are perfect as is)
Anyway, here is Doctor Whooves and Derpy Hooves (or Ditzy Doo if you please)! Personally, they are probably my favorite ship in the fandom, even if it's not canon, I refuse to believe it <0< The show sold me with only a few interactions between them. Once again, it's not canon in the show but hush they are in my AU. :love:
Now have a snippet of headcanons that no one asked for:
Dr. William "Time Turner" Whooves is not a certified doctor or engineer, but he does spend a lot his time focusing on inventing machinery, scientific experiments, chemicals, and biology. (Not so much saving the many realities and galaxies and universes like the real Doctor Who) He is pretty much an outcast, as he lives by himself. He tries to convince everyone that magic has it's limits, while science is truly ever expanding. Previously in a relationship with Roseluck, they had a mutual breakup once they realized that they couldn't work things out: Rose was almost always at her flower shop while the Doctor was almost always in his little "home". They keep in touch, and he's really happy for Rose when she starts a poly relationship with Lily and Daisy, but he does get lonely sometimes when working. (Thus he began the process of inventing my OC: Grinding Gears! 0) Usually at the beginning of each week, he heads out to the bakery to get his weekly supply of muffins, hoping to feel like a part of society again. It wasn't until one Saturday night that things changed, and suddenly on a Sunday morning, he recognized a very familiar cross-eyed pegasus when he took the time to look up from the time. (More on this later >w>)
Ditzy Dahlia Doo works as a part-time mail carrier for Ponyville, a Wonderbolt (some say that she couldn't be one because of her vision, but she is actually one of the best on the team), a guidance counselor for disabled ponies, a volunteer baker for her local bakery (she specializes in making and taste testing muffins), and a full-time mom. Ditzy was in a relationship with a wealthy unicorn for a few months before an unexpected, early pregnancy caused him to flee and go into hiding. She struggled, but managed to get over the heartbreak and raise her daughter, Dinky (with the help of her cousin). She eventually adopts Amethyst Sparkler as well, and finds out she is actually Dinky's half sister. Once she started volunteering at the bakery, she couldn't help but notice the adorably quirky earth pony that comes by ordering the same batch of muffins each week all while looking at his watch. (More on this later >w>)
Eventually, the Doctor decides to stay at the bakery to enjoy his muffin, and it takes a lot out of him to strike up conversation with the pretty pegasus who passes by his booth. However, once they started talking, it surprised them on how much they relate to each other, and they also took of interest of each other's hobbies and passions. In all reality, they got along like a house on fire, and got a lot of odd looks whenever they were together. They were both known as the town's oddballs: Ditzy with her eyes and clumsy behavior, and the Doctor always by himself talking about how science is superior to magic (shut up Twilight). Talking turned into casual hoof holding, which morphed into close cuddling, until Ditzy made the first move and broken the Doctor's shield and winning his heart completely.
Some say it was destiny that these two came across one another while others say it was coincidence, but only they know what it was. (More on these two later, I got a whole story for these two >0>)
Also the Doctor wears glasses, sorry I don't make the rules.
