Been wanting to draw something lately and you know what happens when I can't think of anything, I fall back on good ol' Candlewick-comfort drawings

Felt like drawing him in his draconequus form and thought I'd update it while I'm at it. I was never happy with his old design cause it was too boring for me, so I took inspiration from the kirin/qilin and decided to throw some more asian animals at him.

He still has the kirin/lion mane / the dragon horns and leg / and this tail still has hair like the kirin as well. As for what's new, I've decided that while dragon scales in mlp are probably similar to lizards/snake scales, Kirin scales are probably a lot like pangolins, which is what's covering his back and goes down his tail. (He also has scales that stick up along his back like ridges).
His front right leg is based on a red panda (or an actual panda, they're kinda similar). His front left leg is a dragon leg. Back right leg is a Kirin/deer leg, and this back left leg is an Okapi leg.

(Fun little side note, the colour on his kirin leg is what colour he would be had he grown up with the kirin, instead of becoming Twilight's and Discord magically adopted kid. (confusing but I explain it here: www.deviantart.com/torusthescr… ) Maybe I'll draw a "what-if" pic sometime).
