It was River Morganite and Obsidian’s dream to go to a fashion show one day. They lived for the glamour, glitter, and everything else gorgeous as they envisioned a day when they would be not just spectators, but models. But they were much too young to go to a real fashion show, so they settled for watching Rarity’s old tapes and practicing their model walks at home.

Obsidian squealed in delight at the model presently prancing across the screen.

“River! Look at that one! Isn’t she pretty?”

The dragony filly grinned.

“Her dress is to die for! It looks like something you would wear!”

“I’m gonna get one just like it when I grow up! Have you seen any dresses you like?”

“Yeah, I-“

River hesitated, looking back at the screen. WAS there anything on that runway she would wear? All of the models were ponies with sleek coats and polished hooves, not like the scales and claws that River had. She’d surely scratch up the runway with her claws or let her tail get in the way, she thought as she watched how the models trotted. Was the fashion world a place for a dragony like her?

She simply paused, and finally answered:

“I haven’t found any yet.”
