- The star linebacker for the Friendship Academy Hoofball team, Ginger is no shadow. He may have had a father who threatened the life of an entire kingdom but Ginger is his own pony. He's long since let go of the past, very much unlike his brother, and he's trying his best to become likable and friendly. He loves his teammates like family and he's the heart of the team. Unfortunately, he's often picked on or is the butt of the joke when it comes to the guys due to his sensitivity. Most of the time Ging can take it but sometimes it really cuts deep. He wants nothing more than to have a good group of friends and to be there for them. Unfortunately for him, his habit of constant truth telling hasn't made him the most popular. Sure, he's got friends and is well known but not many want to have a real friendship with him. He can be harsh when it comes to consoling a hurt friend and his truth telling often leads him to being a tattle tale. He's never invited to certain, parties, as every-creature knows he'll tattle if something isn't appropriate.
- Ging and Herc don't have the best relationship. Herc is too self conscious to feel comfortable around his 'popular' brother and Ging has given up trying to talk with his little brother who always pushes him away. Herc can't figure out if he wants to be close with his family, mainly Ging, and Ging over the years got tired of chasing the little apple. The two will often have spitting matches when Herc is upset and says something he doesn't mean. Otherwise, it's mostly radio silence as Ging never really reaches out. Sombra and Applejack are very distraught over the state of their two boys relationship but they're trying hard to help them figure it out on their own. Sombra often talks with Herc about his inner turmoils and AppleJack helps Ging to not take Herc's dismissal personally.
