Personality: He seems stoic on the outside, but that's just because he gets nervous speaking in front of other ponies. If it's just him and someone he trusts, he can ramble and laugh and have deep discussions with them.
How they meet: While shopping for ingredients at a farmer's market, he overheard a conversation. A salespony was being pushy and rude, and the stallion they were speaking to was getting more and more stressed out. After listening for a few seconds to see if anypony needed his help, Iron Gauntlet walked over to the cherry stand where the two ponies were talking.
The salespony leaned over the counter, a sneer on their face. "C'mon, you can't afford a bit more? My fruit is high quality, I won't sell it for cheap." The tan stallion took a small step back, unsure. "No, I…I didn't bring more bits, I just need some cherries, I—" "Then scram, I have other customers to deal with." "But—"
Iron trotted to stand beside the small stallion, and he gave the salespony a hard stare.
"See, little guy? I got other customers. Scram." Tge salespony bragged.
Iron Gauntlet pulled out some bits, placed them the counter, and took a basket of cherries. He held them out to the small orange stallion, who looked to be on the verge of tears. He ignored the rude salespony, who was now upset that Iron had given the cherries to Phoenix. His freckled face was pink with a slight blush, and he gave a tiny smile to Phoenix.
