Description:

(This scene essentially depicts a child being physically bullied, so if that makes you uncomfy, don't look!)
Age-Up scene for Typhoon!
An important moment in Typhoon's life that would shape the pony he becomes. This day entirely changed how he viewed the world around him.

—————————————————

For much of his young life, Typhoon was a quiet colt who mostly kept to himself. He was born to a loving unicorn mother who he meant the world to, and never knew his father. He was an oddity in his hometown, and was never made to feel quite welcome. Some foals feared him, whilst others just thought he was weird. Most others around his own age left him be, but there were a few older colts who found him to be a pushover and decided it would be fun to give him a hard time.

For a long while, the colts bullied him verbally, or pushed him slightly. It became normal for him, and he never really spoke up about it to anyone, not even his mother or the few foals who considered him a friend. He just tried his best to ignore it. However, one day, the leader of the trio of colts got so frustrated with Typhoon's lack of response that he hit him. Typhoon grunted in pain and stumbled, looking at the bigger colt in sudden terror. He'd never experienced this kind of fear before. It froze him. This amused the colts, who laughed and roughed him up a bit more. Eventually, the leader was getting a little too violent for the other two, as he punched Typhoon in the eye, leaving it swollen and bruised. They laughed nervously and suggested that maybe they should "leave the freak alone, he's learned his lesson". When the leader shot a burning glare in their direction, they immediately shut their mouths and left him to it, watching nervously to see if anyone was around.

Now curled up, his back pressed against the wall and in more pain than he'd ever felt before, Typhoon sobbed loudly. "Why are you doing this??"

The leader laughed cruelly. "Because you're a freak." He looked over his comrades for approval. "Right, guys?"

The two hesitated, before nodding submissively and agreeing with him. When the leader grinned at them, they became more fervent in their agreement, in turn craving his approval. "Yeah, he's a freak!!"

Typhoon sniffed and curled up tighter, fearful of further strikes. "P-please.. just stop." He begged.

The colt found this very amusing, and snorted at him. "Oh, but I'm not done yet!" He said, pulling his hoof back for another hit.

Typhoon flinched and let out a sob. He just wanted this to end. As the colts hoof approached him, he closed his eyes and…

His ears rang. What was that sound? It was high pitched, and very loud. He tasted blood. But it was not his own. He opened his eyes and blinked up at the colt, who he now realized was screaming. He glanced down and also found that his jaw was clamped around the colt's foreleg, his sharp teeth sinking in. He was frozen again, unsure what to do with himself, but suddenly he was tossed back onto the ground as the colts pushed him off. He looked at them, his ears still ringing. He couldn't tell what they were saying but they looked terrified. The two colts helped the leader up and quickly ran away, the ladder of them crying loudly.
It was then that it clicked. Typhoon realized that no one would mess with him if they were scared of him. He saw the leader utilize this just moments ago to make his lackeys behave. He laid on the pavement for several moments taking everything in. He never wanted to feel so weak again, not ever. If making others scared of him could secure that, then…

Typhoon was ultimately blamed for the fight. The three colts spun the story, claiming that Typhoon had bit first, and they had to hit him to make him let go, which is why he looks so hurt. It was the three colts and their three pairs of parent's words against Ty's. This outraged Typhoon's mother, she knew for a fact that he would never have bitten someone unprompted, and she knew that someone had been bothering him, he'd been acting strange lately. Despite her best efforts, little was done to help Typhoon.

Typhoon began acting more and more strangely. In school he suddenly had more confidence, and no one would even dare look at him funny. He was almost glad that he was blamed for starting the fight, as it instilled fear into many of the other foals, and even their parents. Luckily for him, not long after, he had a growth spurt, his gigantism really starting to show. He started to find that it was fun having others be afraid of him, to the point of doing anything for his approval. His behavior bothered what few friends he had into abandoning him, but he quickly decided he didn't need them.
After the leader's leg had healed, Typhoon decided it was time to pick on the trio of colts who had granted him this new mindset. He followed him around, and taunted them, asking 'are you scared of little ol' me?'. The leader eventually couldn't handle the shame and embarrassment of having lost to a "freak", and found the guts to fight him once more. Typhoon pummeled him this time, not even needing to use his teeth. It was exhilarating.

The next day, the school-board contacted Typhoon's mother and told her that he was banned from school premises, they were very sorry but too many parents feel like their children are in danger with him around. She couldn't believe this. They didn't feel safe around him? Did they forget that he was the one who was beaten half to death? She loudly cussed the school-board out and said she'll gladly remove Typhoon from this school, if the ones running it were this stupid. She sighed and rubbed her hooves against her temples, trying to figure out what to do. She sat down with her son and tried talking to him about what was going on, why he thought it was okay to act the way he has been, but he wouldn't answer. Despite his new attitude, he couldn't face his mother's disappointment head on.

His mother came to a decision. It was time to move, and she admitted that honestly they should have moved a long time ago. So, an adolescent Typhoon and his mother found a new home in the southern coast, close to the sea. She loved the sea, and thought it'd be healthy for Typhoon to have a better chance to explore his seapony half. Typhoon took to the ocean quickly. He felt at home in the water, and any time he had the chance he'd be out surfing over the waves. Unfortunately the move didn't reset his mind. He's still quite the jerk, however he now has surfing that he uses as a sort of outlet.
