Today, I stumbled across destroyed buildings, covered in thick layer of snow. Those were remains of Autumnfield as I later learned. On a closer inspection, it seems some of them were burned down. The whole place was so barren, probably stripped from useful materials for other use. The atmosphere was… unease, I had a feeling that something terrible has happened in here. I'm currently renting a little room in a tavern, in a village of Honeyground. It’s very isolated place, very far away from the previous village I stayed in. I missed some good warm food and comfy bed. I asked some locals if they could tell me more about the surrounding areas. They said that back in the day, this place was full of life, but all ended when an outbreak happened, few years ago. Shadowlings destroyed two other villages, Hackberry and Autumnfield and attacked a castle, leaving only few survivors that were lucky enough to run away in time. Now, there are only ruins left, an creepy reminder of those times. Locals believe that it was a miracle that their village survived, since it was left untouched by those monsters. I think I should visit the remains of Hackberry and ruins of that castle, maybe I will find something that will help me in my investigation. The temperature is getting lower and snow seems to never stop falling from the sky. What a terrible time for such things."
