It's been a rather long time since I've explored my Heart Break Verse and I think it's time to start up again. I'll leave links to other posts within this verse and the journal that explains the concept more at the bottom if you're interested. With Fluttershy I was considering pairing her off with Gilda, one because I actually enjoy that ship and because it's honestly a lot easier to make a non-pony characters or bad guy characters into the abuser in these ships. I had to face reality though, in a way, that ponies are not angels and are capable of doing horrible things. Fire Streak as a character wasn't touched on much in the series so it was easier to turn him into a bad guy, plus we've seen Wonder Bolts do not so good things in the show…

Fluttershy and Fire Streak started their relationship shortly after the wonder bolt's retirement. He was charming and sweet, highly affectionate and often giving her gifts of all kinds. Fluttershy found herself swept off her hooves. There was a rather large age gap between them but that didn't really matter to anyone, all her friends and family thinking that there could be no one better for the kind Fluttershy than an honorable former Wonder Bolt. A few months after they started dating, Fluttershy gave him her virginity. She was slightly uncomfortable but he'd pushed the subject rather often, asking if she really loved him, and she felt she owed it to Fire Streak. It didn't take long before Fluttershy became pregnant with twins. She was terrified and confused, knowing they'd used protection each time. Fire Streak, however, was overjoyed, saying it was meant to be and that he'd take care of her and their family forever.

They moved in together then, getting married quickly, and then the sweet little foals arrived. Pregnancy and child birth was hard on Fluttershy, her body taking a long time to heal. While she loved her children, she also felt as though her youth was going to go entirely to their care. Fire Streak was a wonderful father, caring and affectionate just like with his wife, and he was very patient with Fluttershy while she wasn't able to physically please him. Then about a year passed… and things changed drastically. Fluttershy still felt as though she wasn't able to be intimate with her husband due to the pain and her lack of libido and his patience had seemed to be running out. He pushed more often, complained more often, starting making hateful remarks to her about her looks and her ability to be a wife and mother.

When his patience ran out completely, Fire Streak started to show the darkest side to himself. He felt owed by his wife and there was nothing going to stop him. After a night of arguing, Fluttershy crying as she continued to deny him and explain why, he struck her across the face in anger. Shocked and unsure what to do, she never fought back as he forced himself on her. It didn't matter what she said, how much she cried, nothing mattered to him. Fire Streak was abusing her constantly after that, slapping her face or her flank out of irritation for little things or if she ever plucked up the nerve to actually tell him no. She was his wife, she wasn't allowed to tell him no anymore.

Fluttershy made sure to keep the abuse away from her children's eyes, taking it quietly behind closed doors so that they'd never have to know. It was her friends who noticed the marks later on and after a lot of denial and lies from the pegasus, they were finally able to get the truth out of her and convince her the divorce the colt. Her children grew up never knowing why their parents got a divorce and still have a great relationship with their father. One thing that confused them was that their mom never took them to the scheduled meet ups for their visits with Fire Streak, always being accompanied by one of her friends who would give their father hateful looks.
