Description:

Some territorial dragoons, or Lantdragoner of the Swedish Empire from the Baltic dominions that came under control of the Swedish Crown, but never became fully integrated with the Kingdom of Sweden. The Baltic dominions like all possessions drafted soldiers into the military and distinguished themselves on the field being part of many renown regiments. Not be to confused with Finland, which was not a dominion, but an integrated part of the Kingdom of Sweden. The Eastern Baltic were conquered between 1561 and 1629, but all of them were lost in accordance with the treaty in 1721, which concluded the Great Northern War.

The uniforms depicted here is the territorial dragoons of Estonia, Livonia, and Saaremaa respectively, and a non-commissioned officer wearing a typical undecorated uniform with silver gilt buttons.
