“Twilight? Can I talk with you?”
Twilight looked up from her scroll and turned to where she heard the soft voice, grinning once she saw that it was Fluttershy. “Oh, sure! What do you need?”
“It's about the foals,” the yellow pegasus said as she made her way up to her friend.
“What about them?”
Fluttershy looked down at the ground, wondering if bringing this up was actually a good idea or not. “Well..I was wondering if..we could take them to see their fathers. Just for a little bit.”
Twilight’s eyes widened as she heard Fluttershy speak, and she herself grew nervous. “Um..wouldn't that be a bit sudden?”
Fluttershy tilted her head a bit. “What do you mean?”
“I don't want them to suddenly be put in the role of dads when they probably don't even remember us. It's been four years, I doubt that they'd recognize us.”
The pegasus mare sheepishly pawed at the ground a bit. “I know, but Paw Print has been asking about his father for quite some time. You've heard him and the other foals questioning why they supposedly don’t have fathers. I don't want them to grow up without knowing.”
“Fluttershy, I may not remember much about those humans, but what I do remember is that they aren't really “parent” material. They were day drinking when we first saw them and they were willing to do..things with ponies. Would they really be responsible enough to see their kids?”
Fluttershy went a bit closer to Twilight and gave her a comforting grin. “I understand your concern completely. I just want Paw Print and the others to see them so that they can have some closure about their lineage. Besides, it's been four years. Maybe the humans have changed for the better.”
The alicorn peered off to the side, trying her best to make a choice. Sure, she was still nervous about the idea, but Fluttershy made some good points. Plus, who said anything about the visits being regular occurrences. It could easily just be a one time event. After a lot of thinking, she let out a soft sigh. “Fluttershy?”
“Yes?”
“Please go get the others, and tell them to bring their foal. And get Discord too. We'll need his help to get to the human world.”
