OOC: I’ve had a lot of problems with the backgrounds during the course of the comic, too often, I accidently saved over my bg-file and had to drawn the background over again. I finally bit the bullet and made a beutiful multi-layered background to use…. and promptly lost it. True to my character, I responded to this by doubling down and tried to really make the background furniture look as nice as possible. This is closer to how I wanted the background of the comic to look like, small, but nicely decorated. However, I had to explain the transition, somehow, since it involved some all-new furniture and wouldn’t just slip by unnoticed.
