the final installment of my princess redesigns is my beloved cadance,,,i love her sm, even though i wish she would've done more in the show, i feel like there's a lot of neat things they could've done with her,,, i just adore the concept of a pony whose magical gift is spreading love
soo i took some more artistic liberties with her horn, as I've already done something new with celestia and luna's, i wanted something different with cadance as well. as we all know she was born a pegasus, so the horn isnt a natural part of her, and i wanted to show that by making her horn a whole ass crystal, since she ascended to an alicorn when she became the ruler of the crystal empire! her horn wasn't always bent and jagged like it is now, it became twisted due to the immense strain of magic she output back when she had to protect the crystal empire with a force field and so her horn is permanently wonky, but to her delightful surprise it actually resembles a heart!!
other than that i rlly just kept her the same, but i did make her rlly small and super fluffy and feathery, it makes her approachable and friendly looking i think!
I've talked about it before but i like to think cadance represents all forms of love, whether it be romantic love, family love or platonic love, even love for animals and nature and hobbies and everything in between. she's a big advocate for self love as well and sees the beauty in absolutely everything she encounters and is a gentle soul who likes to say she's a pacifist but she'll get her hooves dirty if needed. like celestia and luna, she has a magical aura that surrounds you when you're near her, you'll feel immediate calm and a warmth in your heart
soo there's all the princesses! i had a lot of fun with these, and i might use this layout for my other future designs! I'm thinking about doing another mane six headcanon but all six girls separate on their own ref so i can get all my headcanons out together clearly, but we'll see!
