You bid farewell to Floral Grace and Monsoon, and head south to the town hall.

Upon entering the town hall, you find Sapphire Kite in the entrance room, by the posting boards.

You tell Sapphire Kite that Monsoon mentioned you should ask her about fighting monsters in the Everfree Forest.

Most creatures you'll encounter around here are passive, which means they won't attack you unless you provoke them.

The most common exceptions are timberwolves, wooden monsters created by the forest itself. They may have strength in numbers, but you can disable them by making loud noises. They're easily noticeable by their glowing eyes, and their foul smell.

Cockatrices are also aggressive, but mostly harmless, as long as you avoid their petrifying stare. They look like small dragons with the head of a rooster. If you get caught by one and can't look away, remember to cover your eyes with your hooves.

Finally, tread carefully around swamps. Hydras are massive beasts with many heads that rarely leave the water, so unless you can fly, I do not recommend trying to fight one. Any questions?"
